Muslim =/= Terrorist. Understand? by LunnarEclipse Muslim =/= Terrorist. Understand? by LunnarEclipse
I am so tired of people I know (mainly ignorant-rude-ass-Americans) thinking just because someone is Muslim or Islamic means that they are automatically a terrorist. No. You cannot base this horrible stereotype/judgement on these people and religion just because of a few bad decisions made by believers.

It's not funny, it's not "cool". If it's anything it's: rude, ignorant and annoying.

EDIT: this text was hard to see, so I edited slightly. Hope you can see this one better.

Most terrorists AREN'T even muslim !
ISIS ISN'T a religious or muslim group, - they use 'Killing for Allah' as an excuse !
They're a disgrace to muslims, - and i'm disgusted that they would use religion to kill.

Yes, - God said we should fight or even kill if we're in war,
but we should not gain any pleasure from it,
then it becomes a sin. - it wasn't really your right to take
what God has given to man anyway.

I agree with this... I always get angry and want to show my rage to people who said Muslim is a terrorist... your stamp makes me calm down.

Those stupid stereotype freaks me out as hell. Because I am Muslim... But finally, I can find nice American people here....

Not only American people who said Muslim is terrorist. People who say that are dumb and easily to got brainwashed by Media because they don't wanna get a life.

Even my Atheist friend told me "Oh just ignore them! I am Atheist but I don't think Muslims are terrorist. Terrorist is just terrorist even another religion can be terorrist cause Terrorist is just a human not Muslim. People who said that is just proud to be an idiot"

I think it's unfair to use "ignorant-rude-ass-Americans" as an example... What's the difference between stereotyping an American person as someone ignorant and stereotyping a Muslim as a terrorist? You're basically contradicting yourself. Here is a classic example of people thinking that racism can only be directed at all ethnicities besides whites. We get it pretty bad, too, ya know... Don't get me wrong, I agree with this message, but I'd feeling more inclined to fave/use this if you removed that description.

I agree 100% with this stamp.Islam is a religion just like all the others and it is nothing more violent than Christianity and Judasim but there are bad people in Islam just like they are bad in every religion, country, city, family etc but that doesn't mean that all of Muslims are terrorist. The biggest problem with most Western people(especially Americans)is that when they do researches about Islam they going to use anti-Islam documentaries,anti-Islam books and anti-Islam websites as their research source instead of actually reading the whole Quran. There is a kind of people that are really easy to be brainwashed and once when they are brainwashed there is absolutely nothing that can change their mind.Thats why I don't argue with Islam haters on the internet because you can't change their mind no matter what you say to them and they will call you a liar or a person that is brainwashed by religion.

I know =P Islam has its fair of extremists like any other religion. I just don't understand why it get singled out the most out of all of them. Most people I know, when we talk about religion, never discuss anything radical Christianity or Judaism has done.

Here's a good example: when the bombing in Boston happened, the insane members of the Westboro Baptist church protested at the funerals of the people who were killed in the explosion. But, half way across the world, pictures of Muslim boys and girls holding signs that said "we offer our condolences to the families of the Boston bombings." Yet, when the bombing happened, everyone assumed it was so crazed Muslim. But who did it end up being? A Russian so don't be so quick to judge you racist douchebags.

I wouldn't say it's just "rude-ass" Americans that say this sort of thing. I've run into just as many "rude-ass" Australians and Canadians who say the very same thing. That being said, not all Americans I know (including myself), and not all Canadians and Australians that I know, believe that all Muslims are terrorists.

Oh I'm just generalizing. Where I come from, (Ohio) we don't get that much diversity. (Other then some Asians, Africans and Mexicans) Most people I've heard make this generalization on the Muslim community were American.

I'm not saying all Americans are rude and ignorant, I'm simply stating (in that sentence) that they are the group whom I've heard the most ignorant comments on Muslims from.

Americans fulfill they're stereotypes with the ways the act. (not only towards others, but themselves) Out of everyone I have ever met, no other group has called Muslims terrorists but them. (Americans)

My father is a fine example; being born from PA. We got to a soccer game, and there's a little Muslim boy sitting with his parents. "Oh look, it's a little terrorist in the making." Sounds completely considerate, right?

Another fine example; a man from Afghanistan who worked for the BBC, came to my school a few weeks ago. The first thing he asks us; "what is the first thing that comes to mind when I say 'Afghanistan'?" All these rather "intelligent" boys thought they were going to be funny, and whispered loudly: "Terrorists!"

One more, just to prove the point I was getting at; I am currently taking a course at school that is dealing with whether or not peaceful solutions to conflict can be aided by religion. Last month, we got unto the Islamic religion. Teacher asks us what we know about it, and a girl behind me whispers, "We know that's where all those terrorists come from".

I'm generalizing from past experiences--I'm not saying all Americans are this rude, because then I would be bashing upon myself. I'm saying that the majority of stereotypes towards this religion and it's people, were said/started by American people.

My point on why I called Americans that or, the "past experiences"...? Sorry, can't quite tell what you're calling ridiculous.

Why you call americans that. Generalizations and stereotypes are not okay.

Tell that to the 2,595,000 muslims in America. I'm sure they all think that they are terrorists too.

Exactly, as do I.

It's like everyone is categorizing a whole religion and group of people just because of a few extremists that martyred themselves for their cause. Not every Muslim/Islam is like that.

it really drives me batty. no religion deserves to be hated just on a few nutters. same goes for Christianity. I don't hate all Christians just because a few are running around and spewing nothing but hate.

just for future reference, Islam is the religion, and a Muslim is a follower of Islam.

Same here. Exactly, I feel the same way. Extrermists in the Christian faith can piss me off--sure, but that's what they're there for. I don't hate every Christian because of them.

Oh yes... lol I always get mixed up with those terms. Thanks for the reference.
